Fun with Nan-Nan

Dear Nan-nan, You have helped me and looked after me ever since I was born. I treasure the moments that we spent together such as when I was a chubby toddler, we used to sit and watch cbeebies together and sing along to all the songs! I remember that whenever I asked you any question you would always say yes; when I wanted to do your hair you would laugh and let me do it. You would pick me up from school, and buy me sweets and popcorn; dad would always tell us off because he said my teeth would rot. Every Friday, Dylan and I would come to your house after school and RAMP, but the day would always end with the three of us watching Ms Bucket and laughing our socks off!!! I remember the night before you passed away; I had a dream that started with all my memories of you (it was just like a film), and ended with you all dressed up in smart white clothes. You were rising up into the sky, waving at me while doing your famous laugh. I’m happy that I know you are in a safe place with no more pain (and probably still laughing). I love you Nan-nan and I always will. Your loving grandson, Brandon xxx At Nan-nan’s house one of my favourite things to do was jumping on the bed. I remember when I did a front flip on her bed one day and I had a nose bleed. She was laughing at me! Daddy doesn’t let me jump on his bed. I also remember that she would say yes to everything I wanted, even fourteen rich tea biscuits. When I was three I used to love going to the playgroup with Nan-nan and she would watch me drive around in the red and yellow car. A really funny thing I also remember was when we gave her a very very sour sweet. It was only in her mouth for 1 second and she spat it out as quickly as lightning and it hit a bus. We were laughing out loud! When I was seven I remember I used to help nan-nan walk to different destinations. I stood behind her and sometimes held her bags so she could hold her stick or her frame properly. I always loved talking to my nan-nan. She was always laughing at the things that we did and she NEVER got angry at us. I will miss her so much but I will have awesome memories in my mind. Dylan xx
